Luna Beach Club

LUNA — the light of a new world · Nuanu Creative City

A 12-metre wireframe sculpture by Alexander Milov, around which the studio composed the multimedia language of an entire beach club — and runs it every evening, like clockwork.

  1. Brief

Compose the multimedia language of LUNA — Alexander Milov's 12-metre wireframe sculpture — as the daily heartbeat of Luna Beach Club.

  2. Approach

Stay with LUNA from day one. Light her at her debut; design the permanent rig that activates her every evening since.

  3. Outcome

Two laser towers, fixtures embedded in LUNA, CO₂ jets and flame throwers, DJ booth designed as part of her base.

  4. Challenges

A sculpture with continuous performance schedule on the Bali coast. Equipment must survive salt air and stay modular for visiting VJs.

  5. Result

Thousands of nightly guests. A sculpture that became a venue's centre of gravity.

I · The sculpture as anchor

Luna Beach Club is built around a sculpture. LUNA is a 12-metre wireframe meditation figure conceived by artist Alexander Milov — a continuation of his iconic Love series first presented at Burning Man. Here she is the venue's centre of gravity.

She first came to life at the Suara Festival in 2023. After the festival, she stayed — and the studio composed the permanent multimedia language that activates her every evening.

II · Permanent multimedia setup

Two large towers with laser and light fixtures illuminate the dance floor and the sculpture. Additional fixtures are mounted directly on LUNA herself. Later enhancements added CO₂ jets and flame throwers.

Every evening, the installation activates like clockwork — a glowing centrepiece for the thousands of nightly guests.

III · DJ booth as part of LUNA's base

The studio designed the DJ booth as an integrated part of LUNA's base. The screen structure features a practical modular design that supports a wide range of VJ setups, while visually echoing the sculpture's foundational geometry.

Sound, light, and form share a single language — the booth feels like it emerged from LUNA herself.

Born at a festival. Stayed as a venue. Lit every night since.
